SBC is a professional consulting and training company registered in Britain. We provide research, consultancy and training for UK and Chinese organisations and facilitate international business between Britain and China. Our services including business strategy advice and market research in both countries which include setting up local representative offices, Joint Venture & WOFE'S, sourcing products and quality-checking for British or Chinese enterprises. We also provide Chinese language and culture training courses for British companies, institutions or individuals who are keen to develop business relationships with China.

The Co-founders, Mr. & Mrs. Brian & Yan Thornton, have vast experiences in business consulting, training, research, marketing, finance, manufacturing in both China and Britain. The managing director Yan Thornton was born in China and educated in China and Britain. Prior to moving to Britain for her English and Masters study in international business management in 2003, Yan worked in China’s commercial banking and culture training area for more than 15 years, following the completion of her study in 2005 in Britain, Yan set up SBC with her husband Mr. Brian Thornton, an MBA graduate of Bradford University and a former chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, to develop business relations between China and Britain. Currently, Yan is also conducting research for a PhD in Management and her research area is focusing on Chinese women entrepreneurship. Yan has been involved in many business projects for British and Chinese companies as well as teaching Chinese language & Culture for universities and business organizations. SBC have also a team of excellent British and Chinese business specialists who can contribute their abilities and knowledge to help you conduct business in China.
